SHADEtober returns Friday the 13th! 

I decided to start later this year because I have some other projects I want to get out of the way first before working on this year’s theme. Speaking of, the theme this year is COSPLAY! After all, what’s Halloween without costumes? 

From the 13th to the 31st Shade will cosplay as a different character. I already got 11 out of 19 written down, if you have a suggestion for a cosplay, feel free to comment! 

Happy Free Comic Book Day, everyone! 

Usually I share some comics WIP pages for what I’m currently working on as a teaser of sorts, but I haven’t worked on a new comic since Chapter One of STV concluded. But that’s not to say I won’t be cooking something up for the foreseeable future. Here’s a small list of ideas that I got.

2 NEW POKÉMON SIGMA CITY COMICS

Probably gonna need a new title for this series seeing how I’m ditching the overarching narrative in favor of simple comic skits. These will more than likely be the first ones I’m gonna work on first seeing how I already got the scripts for both done. So be on the lookout for those. 

A FAR CRY 5 COMIC

I actually had an idea for my preferred ending to FC5 for a long time now that I meant to make earlier this year for the game’s 5th anniversary, but was too busy with STV at the time. I think you’ll enjoy that when it comes out. 

LAVA MAN AND RELYK SHORTS

I’ve been meaning to make pilots/shorts/one shots for my other series that’s been collecting dust on the shelves for years and there ain’t no dustier SOB than LM. So I just said, SCREW IT I’ll just make a comic short. 

As for Relyk, I had this sequence planned out for a long time now so scripting it and putting it to comic format shouldn’t be too difficult. 

CHAO HOLIDAY SPECIAL PART 2

I may get to work on the second half of the Chao Holiday Special sooner than I usually do for Christmas specials, like halfway through October.

Bit of an odd one to mention, but only because I originally planned to make it today. I didn’t because I needed to get all the pages and folders organized first. But once that is done I’ll share the link!

What's up with that?

October has come at last my friends! This Halloween, what better way to celebrate both the season and Shade’s 10th anniversary than the return of SHADETOBER!! For those who don’t know, Shadetober isn’t exactly “Inktober, but Shade” but rather just a fun little thing I’m planning on doing every spooky season. 

Originally I planned to upload the next episode of STV to start this off, but I’m gonna finish 3 more pages before I do. After that, I’m gonna take a short break from that to work on some other stuff for the week (of uploading the episode). But what kinda stuff? Still thinking that through, probably just some miscellaneous art relating to STV as well as Halloween-related stuff. I’m gonna try to upload them frequently, but you never know what could happen these days. 

As for the main comic, once I get to a certain major plot point I’ll be putting it on hold till January - March. I got another big project coming up for the next big holiday that you, for some reason, are already seeing in the store and ads and I want to put some focus into that. But that’s for November, now it’s SHADETOBER! 

I'm not gonna spoil anything for those who still haven't seen yet, but gotta say, WAY better than the first one! My main complaint with the first one is that it felt more like an unrelated talking animal movie that just happens to be about Sonic, but this movie fixed that issue and then some. And again, that post credit scene got me all "YES! Sonic the Movie 3!!! Let's make it happen people!" lol

You know, I pretty much draw nothing but OCs and I’m running out of ideas for stuff to make with them aside from comics. So I think I'll post fan art for a while. 

Odd thing to make a journal of, I know. But I don’t post many journals here anyways, so might as well. 

So, any suggestions of who to draw? 

Hey, everyone! I’m back from my New Year Break! I would’ve been back sooner but I got sick during the latter half of the month (which may or may NOT have been Covid) so I decided to extend it. Other than that, I mostly just spent the free time making updated reference sheets for characters, especially those who DESPERATELY needed them. I won’t be uploading any of them here, however. I really just made them for me and anyone who needs them for a request/trade. With that said, here’s what to expect for the new year! 

SHADE THE VAMPIRE TURNS 10 YEARS OLD!

Yep, you heard it here, folks. The bounty hunter who’s been a vampire for 10 years officially turns 10 IRL! Not exactly sure how to celebrate this occasion seeing as I’m still on the first arch of the series, but I think I got an idea that may be a bit of a throwback for my long-time followers. Also, I’ll be posting more pages soon. In any case, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SHADE! 

RTD *MAY* GO ON ANOTHER HIATUS AFTER THE CURRENT CHAPTER. 

And that’s a hard MAY cause you never know what could happen between now and then. But if I do, it’s because I decided that I’m gonna write out most, if not the WHOLE first saga of the series, which I am told is the preferred way to do webcomics (or just storytelling in general). So yeah, things are gonna be pretty quiet for a good bit, but that’s not to say you won’t see anything from these characters for the time being. 

I’M GONNA BE JOB SEARCHING SOON. 

After 2 years of unemployment, I’m diving back into the cesspool that is the American workplace! As much as I love the near-infinite free time to work on stuff, chat with friends, play video games, and etc. I also like money and money gets me food that I require to live and living is a VERY important part of my daily schedule. So once I get the booster shot I’m gonna start job searching. Say what you want about “vaccine bad” but I’m on the “it’s better than nothing” boat. Anyways, if and when I do get a job, obviously, I’m not gonna have the free time to work on projects as much. But hey, even when I did I spent a tiny percent of it on actually drawing and stuff anyways so nothing much is really gonna change in that regard. Some of you are probably thinking, “Why not just start a Patreon and make money that way?” HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HAAAaaaaaaa… no. 

IN CONCLUSION. 

I think that about sums up the important stuff. There are more I’d like to talk about, but I’m gonna keep it in the “Will talk about later unless I decide to not do any of them” file. You know how it goes. -puts it in the file-

Hey everyone! How are you enjoying the last day of 2021? As for me, even though the year as a whole wasn't that bad, the parts that were really ruined it for me. But that's my own personal take. How was it for you? Was it better than 2020? Worse? Bout the same?

Anyways, after I finish an Art Trade with @Unburnable I'm gonna take a break from posting to recharge and plan for what comes next in 2022!

Happy Kwanza Eve, everybody!

And BOY was it a busy Holiday season for me. I made a total of 8 fully colored Christmas-related posts this year! (10 in total) 5 here, the rest elsewhere. Probably not gonna do THAT again for a few more Xmases. And it was originally going to be even MORE packed with a holiday special that I decided to delay to next year due to time restraints. The script is actually mostly done, say for the climax, but I’ll probably get that done by the time you read this. That along with concept sketches and reference sheets I’ll put in cryo-sleep until next November. I think my final Christmas pic will give you an idea as to what that’ll be. Anyways, how was your Christmas? As for me, we didn’t really do anything all that big this year, we just did a Secret Santa with a budget of $30 or so. Funny enough, the person I got ALSO got me. lol

Anyways, next week is 2022! Though I am going into the new year cautiously, I do have… SOME plans for it. But that’s for after my New Year Break.
